I know!! This is really long BUT I want you to be fully educated on the process before you take the leap!

This is going to walk you through what to expect at Donna Lane Photography. I am excited to get you in the studio! If you have any questions after reading this, please feel free to reach out and I will get back to you as soon as possible! You can call or text between the hours of 10am and 7pm Monday through Sunday.  

 

Boudoir shoots are available on Saturdays from 9am-4pm and Sundays from 11am-4pm.  This information is also relevant for couples. There is a non-refundable $400 session fee required; half is due upfront and the balance is due within 30 days. 

 

My studio is located at 4520 Squiredale Square in Alexandria, VA.  The space is comprised of a 20 x 10 foot studio, a 10 x 12 foot studio and a dressing room. In the dressing room you will also have access to my client wardrobe which has lovely pieces from size small to 4x.   The studio is FULL of gorgeous natural light, hardwood floors, and hand selected decor. 

There is ample street parking and you are also able to park in my driveway.  I am about 10 minutes away from Fort Belvoir.  If you forget something, there is a Walmart, Target, Walgreens and a CVS that you can reach in 5-15 minutes.

Before your session we will have video consultation so we can get to know each other better; it will make for better pictures on your session day! I am here for you every step of the way to make sure that you feel prepared and comfortable during this process. 

Your entire experience will last from 3-4 hours. You will receive complimentary hair and makeup which takes up to 2 hours, access to the client wardrobe, and much more! I am going to pose you from head to pointed toe for 2 hours!! Prepare to be sore after your session, we do a LOT of bending and twisting (it's quite the workout!). 

Once the session is complete I will edit your gorgeous photos so you can view them.  I will contact you so we can schedule your Reveal & Keepsake Ordering appointment.  This happens within 1 week of the shoot. Be prepared to pay in full for your keepsakes at this appointment unless you are taking advantage of my pre-session payment plans.  Unfortunately, post-session payment plans are not available.

You will receive your keepsakes in about 4 weeks once your payment is processed. If you are local, we can schedule a time for you to stop by to pick up your beautiful products.  If you are 30 miles or further from the studio, I'm happy to ship your products to you.  There may be an additional shipping fee for large wall art.  All ordering decisions must be made at your Keepsake Ordering appointment. Any images not selected will be deleted. All sales are final due to the custom nature of my work.

Before we have created your images, it is hard for me to give you an exact figure as to what to expect. Some clients come to me and just get an album, others want it all and invest several thousand on a variety of products.  What you spend is up to you. You can purchase from my Collection Menu or the A La Carte Menu, both which will be sent to you immediately following the completion of your booking process.  Keepsakes and collections range in price from $1700 to $5700.

You are welcome to pay in full with cash or credit/debit cards. Pre-session payment plans are also an option for Collections; you decide which collection you want to purchase and we will separate the total amount into small payments.  All pre-session payment plans must be paid in full prior to your boudoir shoot.
